Terms and Conditions of Service

1. Overview and Acceptance

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the services provided by Gidi Script Clean (referred to as "GSC", "we", "us", or "our"), relating to professional cleaning, sanitization, and specialized services (including, but not limited to, post-construction cleaning, carpet care, and calligraphy-inspired floor polishing) offered to clients in Lagos, Nigeria. By booking, accepting, or utilizing any GSC service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services.

2. Booking and Cancellation Policy

2.1 Service Appointment Confirmation

All service appointments are confirmed only after prior agreement on scope, price, and schedule, typically confirmed via email or documented communication. We strive for punctuality, but traffic and unforeseen circumstances in the Lagos Metropolis may cause delays. We will notify the client immediately of any significant delays.

2.2 Cancellation and Rescheduling

Clients must notify GSC a minimum of 24 hours in advance if they need to cancel or reschedule a confirmed appointment. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of the flat rate booking or a 2-hour fee for estimated hourly jobs.

3. Service Scope and Limitations

3.1 Defined Scope of Work

The scope of work is detailed in the service agreement or quote provided before the commencement of the job. Any request for work outside this agreed scope, known as 'extra services', must be approved by a GSC supervisor and may result in additional charges.

3.2 Safety and Access

Clients must ensure a safe and accessible working environment for our staff. This includes securing pets, providing unobstructed access to the service areas, and providing necessary utilities (water, electricity). GSC reserves the right to cancel or pause service if the environment is deemed unsafe, potentially resulting in a partial or full charge.

3.3 Exclusion of Items

Handling or disposal of hazardous waste (excluding standard residential/office trash).
Heavy lifting of furniture or objects over 20kg, unless specialized equipment is pre-agreed.
Exterior window cleaning above the ground floor unless specialized rigging is provided by the client and professional high-rise safety protocols are met.

4. Pricing, Payments, and Refunds

4.1 Quoted Rates

Quotes provided are based on the information supplied by the client. Should the actual condition of the property or the time required significantly exceed the initial estimate, GSC reserves the right to revise the final charge after consulting with the client.

4.2 Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of the service, unless a corporate retainer or specific contract terms dictate otherwise. We accept bank transfers and major credit cards (through secure local payment gateways).

4.3 Satisfaction Guarantee and Claims

Gidi Script Clean aims for 100% satisfaction. If you are not satisfied with a specific area of the service, you must notify us within 24 hours of completion. We will return and re-clean the area at no extra charge. Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis and are only issued if a satisfactory re-clean cannot be achieved.

5. Damage and Liability

While GSC is fully insured and takes utmost care with client properties, accidental damage can occur. Clients must report any alleged damage caused by our staff within 48 hours of service completion, providing photographic evidence. Our liability for damage is limited to the cost of repair or replacement of the damaged item, up to the limits of our standard public liability insurance package.

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and the unique concept of 'calligraphy-inspired floor polishing', is the property of Gidi Script Clean and protected by Nigerian and international copyright laws. You may link to our homepage, provided you do so in a way that is fair and legal and does not damage our reputation or take advantage of it.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes relating to these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
